Setting up a car washing business from home?

I would like to set up a car washing business from home.

Cleaning interior and exterior of cars, what do i need to do to set this up?

As for waste water ect?

Would i need to set it up as a commercial premises or something like that?

Your help would be greatly appreciated

You have to incorporate it as a small business - either as a Sole proprietorship or a Partnership, or a S corporation.

If you are in the USA, and live in a major city, a National Nonprofit Organization called SCORE, part of the US Small Business Administration, has retired executives who volunteer their time and expertise to help you do exactly what you ask.

Contact them at www.SCORE.org. their services are free and without obligation.Setting up a car washing business from home?
What's this spam $hit above my answer?!

I've thought about doing something similar in the past.

A lot of these car wash places rent old petrol station forecourts or closed down car sales places. These are usually easily visible for advertising (big sign required) and will have water supplies. Obviously you would need to find out who the owner of the land/propoerty is and agree some sort of arrangement, e.g. 10% of profits

You could simply start out small by buying the basics: bucket, soap, sponge, shamoi, wax, alloy wheel brush etc, and go knocking on peoples doors. Hard work!
